Even though there’s been snow on the ground since Christmas Eve, I still can’t help but admire the perfectly white snowflakes floating outside my window right now. A new snow has covered the gray, ugly slush that previously painted the town.
This new and completely untouched snow reminds me of the new year we have just begun. Everything from the past is cleared and we can start over, dropping bad habits and starting good ones. At this time, we feel the potential of a great new year. Anything can happen! And just remember how God tells us:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
Inspired by this, I wish all of you a very happy new year!
